My research spans a broad spectrum of questions, ranging from Archaean crustal formation and carbon cycling to Proterozoic giant dyke systems, weathering-driven carbon capture, and the earliest evidence for magnetotactic bacteria. 

Geology has taken me to 11 countries across four continents and over 200 days in the field. I have mapped and sampled a wide range of terrains—from Archaean basement gneisses to Miocene volcanics and glacial deposits spanning both the Cryogenian and Quaternary. 

I graduated with a First-class Master in Geology (MGeol) from the University of St Andrews in 2021. I then worked for Aurora Exploration for a season, and I am currently a final-year PhD Candidate at the Pennsylvania State University.

After graduating with my MGeol I worked for Aurora Exploration for a season as a Geological Field Assistant. This involved scree, stream sediment, and soil sampling in search for gold mineralisation in Southern Scotland.

I have presented my research at seven national and international conferences, including the 12th International Kimberlite Conference (2024), Society of Economic Geology (2024), and Goldschmidt (2025).

I have received numerous awards in recognition of my academic achievements, including the highest marks for an MGeol student and five fieldwork awards from St Andrews. I have secured over $20,000 in funding to support fieldwork and research travel. 

I have completed over 700 hours of volunteering for various organisations. This includes leadership and coaching positions at St Andrews University Canoe Club, a gardener at Royal Botanic Gardens Edinburgh, and twice as a residential volunteer for the RSPB. 

I love being outdoors and immersing myself in nature. These escapes include whitewater kayaking, mountain biking, hiking, gardening, and skiing.
