I have researched a diverse range of geological processes, from Archaean crustal formation and carbon cycling to Proterozoic giant dyke emplacement and 3.5 billion-year-old Magnetotactic Bacteria.

Geology has taken me to 11 countries across 4 continents, exploring a wide variety of terrains. These range from Archaean basement gneisses to Miocene volcanics and glacial deposits from both the Cryogenian and Quaternary periods. In total, I have spent over 180 days in the field.

I graduated from the University of St Andrews with a Master in Geology (MGeol) in 2021. I then worked for Aurora Exploration for a season and I am currently a PhD Candidate at the Pennsylvania State University.

After graduating with my MGeol I worked for Aurora Exploration for a season as a Geological Field Assistant. This involved scree, stream sediment, and soil sampling in search for gold mineralisation in Southern Scotland.

I have presented my research at several national and international conferences, including the Geological Society of America Fall Meeting 2023.

I have won numerous awards for my academic achievements including the for highest marks for an MGeol student and five awards for fieldwork and mapping during my undergraduate studies at St Andrews.

I have completed over 700 hours of volunteering for various organisations. This includes leadership and coaching positions at St Andrews University Canoe Club, a gardener at Royal Botanic Gardens Edinburgh, and twice as a residential volunteer for the RSPB. 

I love being outdoors and immersing myself in nature. These escapes include whitewater kayaking, mountain biking, hiking, gardening, and skiing.
